Abstract
1346272 Ball mills; impact pulverizers KLOCKNER - HUMBOLDT - DEUTZ AG 26 May 1972 [29 May 1971] 25039/72 Heading B2A In a milling and drying plant which comprises a hammer mill 3, having a closed floor and adapted to be fed directly with crude material and to have hot gasses passed therethrough, the mill is arranged at the lower end of a riser pipe 6 leading to a sifter 7, and in the discharge region of the mill there is arranged on the wall of the hammer mill housing 20, at least one impact beam 21. The beam 21 serves to further comminute material thrown against it by the rotor 19 of the hammer mill. Crude material fed from a double flap charging valve 2 mixes with hot gas fed through a conduit 4 and is fed to the rotor 19 of the mill. Comminuted material is fed by the hot gas flow, after impact with the beam 21 and/or a gas deflector 22, via the pipe 6 to a sifter 7. Grit from the sifter 7 is fed, with hot gas from a pipe 11, to a tube mill 10, and the fine material discharged therefrom at 12 is fed by gas from a conduit 25 into the pipe 6. Fine material from the sifter 7 passes to a cyclone separator 14. The beam 21 and deflector 22 may be pivotable, and the latter may allow hot gas carrying fine material to flow directly from the hammer mill infeed to the pipe 6.
