1345655 Coating-apparatus E S KARDON 13 June 1972 27513/72 Heading B2L Apparatus for applying a line of adhesive on to paper bags 10 comprises a dispensing nozzle 18 having a spring loaded ball valve in the end thereof and an applicator member comprising a rotatable cylinder 50 having applying surfaces 62 which contact the ball valve to allow egress of coating material from the nozzle 18 and then on continued rotation of the cylinder 50 apply the adhesive to the bags 10. The nozzle is adjustably mounted on part of the machine frame 30.
