Abstract

1345424 Door hinges I H W ENG Ltd 6 July 1972 [24 July 1971] 34821/71 Heading E2F In a door hinge comprising two hinge members 10 and 11 in the form of U-shaped brackets pivoted together by pins 12, a return check device is provided and comprises two co-operating parts in the form of a spring- urged roller 19 displaceably carried by one member 11 at a location spaced from its axis and a detent 29 carried by the other member 10. When the two hinge members are rotated in one direction the roller 19 contacts the detent 29 and the spring 23 biassing the roller 19 is compressed and the detent enters a curved portion 13a of the member 10 which acts as a stop for the roller 19.
