Abstract

1345286 Sliding clasp fasteners YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 31 July 1972 [4 Aug 1971] 35733/72 Heading E2S ' A slider for sliding clasp fasteners comprises a pair of interconnected wing members 11, 12 forming between them a fastener guide channel 15, a pull tab 18 pivotally connected at one end about an axis 19 to wing member 11 and having a locking prong 24 extending through opening 25 in wing member 11 into channel 15 to lock the slider when the pull tab is swung into a horizontal position. Wing member 11 is provided with a narrow recess 20 extending transversely of the slider immediately under pivotal axis 19 and having its greater portion covered by pull tab 18. A transversely extending spring member 30 is mounted in recess 20 and concealed under pull tab 18. A cam 26 on the pull tab 18 cooperates with the spring 30 to retain the pull tab in its locked position. As shown in Fig. 2 spring 30 is supported at its opposite ends in recess 20. Alternatively, Fig. 4 (not shown) the recess (20') has a centrally upwardly projecting land (33) for supporting the spring. The spring may be a rod spring as shown or a leaf spring, Fig. 5 (not shown).
