Abstract

1344174 Protective arrangements SOC ANON DBA 18 June 1971 [22 June 1970] 28715/71 Heading H2K [Also in Division F2] A monitoring circuit for an electronic antiskid braking control system having a variable frequency speed signal generator P, a frequency to voltage converter C, a signal processing circuit M and an electrically operated valve EV, comprises a switching circuit B periodically actuated by a signal generator G for controlling a warning device W with a delay and for operating a switching element I connected between earth and the input to the converter C, the closing of the switching element I causing the system to function and to provide a reset signal for the switching circuit B before the warning device W can operate only if the system is in good operating condition. The generator P detects the speed of one of the vehicle wheels, but Fig. 2 (not shown) illustrates the use of a modified monitoring circuit with a common warning device and switching circuit in conjunction with AND-gates and a plurality of switching elements to indicate the failure of the anti-skid system applied to all four wheels of a vehicle.
