1343037 Spring units H GRASSMAN [trading as ISOLIERTECHNIK HORST GRASSMAN] 19 April 1971 [22 April 1970 9938/71 Heading F2S A spring unit for isolating machinery from vibrations comprises two cylindrical housing members 2, 3 whose inner ends overlap with a radial clearance and whose outer ends are urged apart by at least one helical compression spring 7 housed with radial clearance within the members 2, 3, and a flexible traction member (plastics or steel rope 9a or steel chain 9, Fig. 1, not shown) interconnecting the members 2, 3 so as to limit their separation, the or each spring 7 always being under compression. The housing members 2, 3 and the spring(s) are of steel and the spring is mounted via a disc 8 of plastics or rubber material. The compression of the spring(s) may be adjusted.
