Abstract
1,062,274. Machinery frames; elastomeric Springs. C. A. VOIGT. May 5, 1964 [June 15, 1963], No. 18559/64. Heading F2S and F2X. A fluid container 1, containing a rotating drum 2 driven through belts 4 from an electric motor 5 fast on container 1, is resiliently supported each side by rubber-metal blocks 9 on a beam 6 resiliently mounted on the machine bed 3 by further spaced rubber-metal blocks 7, 8. Blocks 9 have flat rubber and metal elements. In a modification the blocks comprise circular metal sleeves (22), (23) separated by a rubber annulus (24), Fig. 9 (not shown). In a further modification, blocks 7 and 8 are of V-crosssection with inner and outer metal sleeves (25), (16) separated by rubber pieces (17), Fig. 7 (not shown).
