1337387 Electric storage heaters ALLIED IRONFOUNDEBS Ltd 17 Nov 1970 [17 Nov 1969] 54608/70 Divided out of 1337386 Heading F4U In an electrically operated heat storage device comprising a heat retaining block assembly 8 located above a casing 1 which is divided into an air inlet chamber 6 and a plenum chamber 7, part of the ambient air drawn into the chamber 6 through a filter 4 passes through duct 25 controlled by a damper 26 into plenum chamber 7 for supply to the space to be heated, and the other part rises up through ducts 9 in heating block 8 and down through a central duct 10 to a duct 28 which is controlled by a damper 30 before being mixed with the relatively cool air in the plenum chamber 7. A thermostat 35 is mounted within the chamber 7 and controls the operation of a motor 36 which drives the damper 26. This damper 26 is mechanically coupled by rod 37 to damper 30 so that when one damper is fully opened the other damper is fully closed.
