Abstract

1335115 Watches SUWA SEIKOSHA K K 15 Oct 1971 [16 Oct 1970] 48084/71 Heading G3T A watch is provided with relatively movable parts having graduated scales to permit mathematical calculations to be made and with a cursor to assist in setting the scales. An annular member 17 fixed to case body 11 carries a logarithmic scale 25, and a movable logarithmic scale 26 is provided on a ring 22 fixed to a bezel 19 which is rotatably mounted about the member 17. A cursor ring 30 of transparent resin is retained by the member 17 and is rotatable so that a line 35 on a portion 34 of the cursor can be used with the scales 25, 26. Two radially extended portions 40 of the cursor assist its manual rotation. The line 35 may be extended to cover a further scale 27 on the ring 22, and more than one line may be provided. An alternative embodiment is envisaged in which the cursor is mounted outwardly of the bezel 19.
