1334997 Electro-photographic device KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 26 July 1972 [26 July 1971] 34993/72 Headings G2C C17C5 and CI7D1 An electro-photographic plate comprises on the photo-conductive layer a protective coating composed of a mixture of polyvinyl butyral and a cellulose derivative. The polyvinyl butyral preferably has a butyralation degree of 57 to 65 mole per cent. The cellulose derivative may be ethyl cellulose, cellulose diacetate, cellulose propionate, cellulose acetobutyrate or cellulose nitrate. The conductive support of the plate may be Al, Zn, Brass, Cu or conductive glass and the photo-conductive layer Se, an alloy thereof e.g. Se-Te, ZnO, PbO or CdS.
