Abstract

1326759 Sheet-delivery apparatus MASOHINENFABRIK WIFAG 9 Nov 1970 [18 Nov 1969] 53172/70 Heading B8R In delivery apparatus wherein sheets or the like are ejected by a stripper 5 from the compartments of a rotary fly 3 on to a conveyer 6, means are provided for moving the stripper 5 from its normal lower position to a position 5<SP>1</SP> to allow defective sheets or sheets to be inspected to be diverted to a separate receiver 15. The stripper 5 is actuated by a power unit 8 through links 12, and a switch 11 operated by cams 9 on a disc 10 fixed to the fly 3 is connected to and controls the unit 8 so that the unit can operate to lift the stripper only just before a sheet is about to strike the stripper. A sensing device is provided to detect a spoilt copy and transmit an operating signal to the unit 8. When the stripper 5 is lifted, an endless conveyer band 13 diverts the sheet from the fly and co-operates with another band 14 to forward the sheet to the receiver 15. The switch 11 may be adjusted so that a predetermined number of sheets may be diverted to the receiver 15.
