1324627 Concrete casting table STELMO Ltd 9 July 1971 32266/71 Heading B5A A concrete casting table comprises a casting plate 11 (Fig. 3) welded on to the flanges of I- shaped girders 12, 13 that support three I-shaped cross members 14, the ends of which engage in six-sided apertures in the girder webs (see Fig. 4, not reproduced). The apertures are notched to prevent cross member rotation, and reinforced by welded blocks. Welded to the upper flanges of the cross members 14 (Fig. 3) and to the casting plate 11 are further I-shaped members 24 and cross bracing is provided by angled diagonal members 34. Two casting tables may be joined by bolts extending through a skirt 27 depending from the plate 11. The table may be mounted on vibrators, or vibrators be attached to mounting plates 33 on the cross members 14. Hot air, gas or water vapour is passed through ducts (not shown) under the plate 11, and through the girder apertures. Tubes 36 (Fig. 5) bolted to the mounting plates 33 are pivoted by pins 43 on support brackets 45, and the table is raised to a vertical position by a hoist engaging a stirrup 50 on further tubes 36. A prop 51 secures the table when hoisted. Each tube 36 supports a spigot 41 and apertured plate 40, those of adjacent tables being interengageable for stacking purposes. Concrete slabs and beams are cast on the plate 11 using shuttering (not shown).
