Abstract

1324626 Pinless hinge F J McCABE 25 June 1971 29954/71 Heading E2F [Also in Division F4] A pinless hinge for a damper blade mounted in a frame comprises a fixed plate 16 attached to the frame and a rotatable hinge plate 17 on the damper blade The fixed plate 16 has a central panel 20, which has a rear shield 30 extending from the top thereof, and a C-shaped hinge portion 32 extending therefrom at its lowest point through an arc of 100‹. The portion 32 supports an overlapping C-shaped portion 33 of the rotatable hinge plate 17, which portion 33 has an inturned lip 38 to retain the portion 33 on the portion 32. The C-shaped portion 33 extends through an arc of 180‹. Extending from the exterior of portion 33 is a blade 34 ending close to the shield 30 to reduce the quantity of debris entering the hinge.
