Abstract

1324253 Making electrical connections and connectors; jointing ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 23 July 1970 [29 July 1969] 35704/70 Headings B3A and B3Q [Also in Division H2] A tool 40, Fig. 1, for crimping a split terminal 12 to a conductor 32 comprises a crimping portion 44 and two portions 51, 58 for preventing splaying of the split 14 during crimping. Four of the tools may converge on a part 24 of the terminal where the split is inclined. The portions 51 are on one side, Fig. 3, and the portions 58 on the other, Fig. 5 (not shown), of the crimping portion 44, Fig. 4, the portions 51, 58 being secured to the central portions 44. The terminal 12 is made by stamping and rolling.
