Abstract

1323406 Control of burners R LUDI AG 13 July 1971 [13 July 1970] 32871/71 Heading F4T [Also in Division H1] An oil firing or furnace installation has a main switch which can be closed to energize a combustion motor M, ignition device Z and a bimetallic thermal element B which after a preflushing and safety time closes contacts b1 to open a fuel valve V. When ignition occurs, a photo-cell F2 completes the circuit to a relay F whose armature has been coupled to its contacts by the thermal element B (see Division H1). Relay F changes over contacts f1 and opens contacts f2 to maintain the valve open and disconnect the thermal element B. If the relay F operates before the thermal element couples its armature and contacts, or if the thermal element is not disconnected it will unlatch contacts b2 to switch the installation off and energize an indicator SA. The contacts b are reset by hand.
