Abstract
1321040 Fuel injection systems BENDIX CORP 31 May 1972 [30 June 1971] 25444/72 Heading G1N In an I. C. engine intermittent fuel injection system, the pump 28 which supplies pressurized fuel to the intermittently operated injector valve (s) 22 is energized in synchronism with the injector valve energisation pulses provided by a computing device 10. As shown, the pump is energized from the output of an amplifier 42 which receives the output from the computing device 10 via a diode 52. An auxiliary computer output 48 is provided to energize the pump prior to the generation of the injector valve energization pulses in order to initially charge an accumulator 38 in the fuel supply.
