Abstract

1319505 Folding apparatus MASCHINENBAU OPPENWEILER GmbH 20 Nov 1970 [22 Nov 1969] 55307/70 Heading B8R Apparatus for forming a triple parallel fold, Fig. 2, comprises a buckle folder for forming the first two folds and a reciprocating blade folder for forming the final fold, the blade 5 of which is flanked by guides 8 and 9 which serve to feed the flaps 11 and 12 of the part-folded product cleanly into the bite of the folding rollers 6 and 7. The guides may be furnished with nozzles to provide an air blast on to the flaps 11 and 12 and so assist entry into the nip of the folding rollers. Rotary cutters may devide the folded product into a plurality of strips.
