Abstract

1315299 Inking and damping apparatus ADDRESSOGRAPH-MULTIGRAPH CORP 19 April 1971 [3 April 1970] 25983/71 Heading B6C A plate cylinder 10 of a rotary litho press is supplied with ink and damping solution by a forme roller 12 which receives ink from an ink ductor roller 14 and damping solution from a damping ductor roller 16. Both ductor rollers 14 and 16 are contacted by wiper blades the blade 21 associated with the damping roller 16 being controlled by a rotatable screw device 42 whilst control of the blade 34 contacting the ink ductor rollers 14 is effected by reciprocable adjustment through screw device 57 of the box 45 containing the ink and damping solution fountains. The ink supply reservior 49 and damping solution supply 51 are mounted integral with the fountains and wiper blades and control apparatus therefor and the whole unit so formed is readily removable from the press.
