1314714 (4-Hydroxy-3,5-dialkylbenzyl)-tetracarboxylic acid esters DEUTSCHE ADVANCE PRODUKTION GmbH 15 Sept 1970 [18 Sept 1969] 44040/70 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] The invention comprises compounds of the formula where R is a group of the formula R 1 and R 2 are each alkyl C 1-4 radicals, R 3 is an alkyl C 1-18 , thioalkyl C 1-18 or oxyalkyl C 1-18 radical, R 4 is a hydrogen atom or the group designated by R, A is an alkylene C 1-10 or oxyalkylene C 1-10 radical and n is 0 or 1. They may be prepared by reacting a compound of formula with a compound of formula RCH 2 N(R<SP>1</SP>) 2 where R<SP>1</SP> is an alkyl group. The compounds act as stabilizers for synthetic resins.
