Abstract

1314456 Paper-making apparatus BELOIT CORP 29 Oct 1970 [30 April 1970] 51487/70 Heading D2A A paper-making machine comprises a headbox 10 associated with a Fourdrinier wire 29 extending round a breast roll 28 rotatably mounted on a frame, an upper slice lip 17 pivotably attached to the headbox, and a fluid pressure operated flexible chamber 19, mounted between the lip 17 and a beam 21 connected by end links to the frame, for adjusting the lip 17 relative to the breast roll. The position of the lip relative to the breast roll is indicated by cooperating index members on the frame and the lip respectively.
