1313940 Flame monitoring FORNEY INTERNATIONAL Inc 12 Aug 1970 [12 Aug 1969] 38927/70 Heading G1A In a flame monitoring system a plurality of input circuits are provided to a common amplifier whereby any one of a number of different types of tube may be used for monitoring radiation from the flame. The system includes a periodically operated shutter for continuously checking the system, delay, timing, and gating arrangements responsive to binary signals from the shutter operation resulting in a "shutter-operating" "unsuccessful-check", flashing "main-flame-on", or "main flame on" signal. The system may respond to ultra-violet or to visible light. Transistor circuits are described.
