1311612 Telescopic umbrellas LAWTEX Ltd 28 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 3483/71 Heading A4P An umbrella or parasol comprises ribs B having inner ends spaced from a telescopic stick a carrying a slider c and top notch b<SP>1</SP>, auxiliary stretchers b being pivoted to the top notch b<SP>1</SP> and to stretchers B<SP>1</SP> and links b<SP>2</SP> being pivoted to stretchers b and the inner rib ends, the portion of the cover A inward of the inner rib ends being connected to the links b<SP>2</SP> or, as shown, to the stretchers b by attachments d. The attachments d each comprise a cord passing through the cover and through holes in the links b<SP>2</SP> or stretchers b, the cord having tags (d<SP>1</SP>), Fig. 3 (not shown), at its ends to retain it in position.
