Abstract

1310356 Diffusion transfer processing apparatus AGFA GEVAERT 30 June 1970 [7 July 1969] 34203/69 Heading G2A A radiation sensitive sheet 50 and a receiving sheet 56 are fed by roller pairs 48, 49 through a tray 31 having a body of processing liquid along two separate and vertically spaced paths towards a pair of pressure rollers 63 so that the upper sheet leads the lower sheet during at least the second half of the path of the sheets through the tray. The receiving sheet 56 is fed by rollers 49 until its leading edge opens a micro-switch 61 to stop operation of rollers 49. An exposed radiation sensitive sheet 50 is fed, e.g. from an X-ray cassette into the bite of rotating rollers 48 during which micro-switch 54 is closed. Closure of micro-switch 54 initiates a delay time interval at the end of which rollers 49 are restarted so that the two sheets will be registered as detailed above. Processing liquid is applied via pipe 41 through an orifice 43 to support the lower sheet away from the tray.
