1,013,883. Diffusion transfer copying apparatus. GEVAERT PHOTO-PRODUCTION N.V. Aug 9, 1962 [Aug. 9, 1961], No. 30645/61. Heading G2A. Apparatus for copying by the silver complex diffusion transfer proeess has openable and closable rollers at the entry to the development zone with stops located beyond the rollers which stops are displaceable by the pressure resulting from the operation of the rollers to propel the sheets and transmitted thereby. Preferably the stops are locked in the operative position whilst the rollers are open. In Fig. 1 the light-sensitive and receiving sheets are introduced at 9 and 10 and are stopped and thus dressed by stop 13 until rollers 2 and 3 are closed and operated to propel the sheets through the remainder of the apparatus. Fig. 3 shows an arrangement whereby stop 13 is prevented from opening by member 27 carrying roller 3 until it assumes the position shown by dotted lines when the rollers are closed. German Specification 1,102,558 is referred to.
