Abstract

1309210 Two-for-one twisters PALITEX PROJECT CO GmbH 24 June 1971 [15 July 1970] 29602/71 Heading DID A 2 for 1 twister comprises a compressed air nozzle 13b within the spindle rotor for use during threading up. The nozzle 13b has a suction opening connected to the lower end of the hollow spindle shaft 10 and its outlet leads to a duct 12 in the yarn storage disc. The nozzle 13b is also able to be directed towards a deflection surface 16b which upwardly deflects the horizontal air stream from the nozzle. One compressed air supply duct may be permanently connected with the nozzle 13b by a central bore (Fig. 4 not shown) or by a displaceable duct which is moved simultaneously with a spindle brake, (Fig. 1 not shown) The thread which is blown upwardly by the compressed air stream between the balloon limiter 6 and the protective cage 9, may be caught by a second compressed air nozzle. This second nozzle may be pivotable to a central position and together with shaped guides feeds the thread end to winding on rollers, (Figs. 6 and 7 not shown). In an alternative arrangement, the second nozzle is carried on a pivoted plate which deflects the thread emerging from the balloon limiter towards the centrally positioned second nozzle and then toward guides around the rollers of the winding on device, (Fig. 8 not shown).
