Abstract

1308664 Mounting rotors for dynamoelectric machines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 March 1970 [19 March 1969] 13311/70 Heading H2A In an electric motor comprising a rotor shaft 12 mounted in a casing 4 by two rolling bearing assemblies 20, 27, the outer race of one assembly 27 is in frictional engagement with a resilient member which permits relative axial movement of the outer race and the casing but prevents circumferential movement of the outer race. The electric motor disclosed and shown drives a percussion screwdriver and comprises a rotor 11 mounted in a plastics casing 4 by two ball bearing assemblies 20, 27, the outer race of bearing 20 being fixed in a seat 22 by a cover 24 and the outer race of bearing 27 being engaged by an oil- and heat-resistant rubber bushing 30 which permits axial movement of the outer race in a metal bush 28 to compensate for different thermal expansion of the rotor shaft and casing.
