1306954 Electric heating devices HEATING ELEMENTS Ltd 28 May 1971 [8 Aug 1970] 38340/70 Heading H5H An electric heating device comprises a sheathed heating element 7, a thermocouple 8 and a thermostat 10, located in a cylindrical heat sink 4, their ends being located at different distances from the base-plate 20 so as to facilitate reassembly. The device is used for the heat treatment of thermoplastic fibres, the heat sink 4 having a coating on its heating surface which needs to be periodically renewed. The thermostat 10 comprises a platinum wire resistor connected in a bridge control circuit.
