Abstract

1306419 Automatic control of weight H HERGETH [trading as HERGETH KG MASCHINENFABRIK UND APPARATEBAU 5 June 1970 [11 July 1969] 27169/70 Heading G3R [Also in Division D1] The rate of fibre feed to a processing machine is regulated by maintaining a constant weight of fibres in a supply container. The container is limited on one side by a roller 4, admitting to the container and on the other side by a lifting conveyer for removing fibres from the container. The base of the container forms one arm of a pivoted balance 6, 7. The other arm incorporates a balance weight 10 for urging the base 6 against a stop and is arranged, upon movement thereof, to operate a control 12 for the feed device 2 feeding fibres into the container. The control 12 can be electrically, photo-electrically or ultrasonically operated.
