Abstract

1306281 Railway track alignment MATISA MATERIEL INDUSTRIEL SA 24 March 1970 [24 March 1969] 14274/70 Heading B7M [Also in Division G1] In a track alignment system the track is moved at each point by an amount which is the algebraic sum of the detected deviation from the desired alignment of the track at the point and a correction factor which is a function of the amount of return movement detected at at least one previously aligned point when the track displacing force was released. Track feeler X is coupled to a core 17 of transducer 18 which develops an output signal which is a function of the deviation of the track at feeler X from a position defined by feelers A, B and C. This signal is applied to a pair of motorized potentiometers 23, 24 which, during an alignment movement initiated by operation of pedal 42, supply an output signal via filter 29 and amplifier 30 to a hydraulic shifting apparatus 37 to reduce the error signal to zero and which after release of the pedal and subsequent return movement of the track supplies an output via the filter and amplifier to drive the relevant potentiometer motor to bring the bridge to equilibrium and thus store a value which is a function of the return movement. During the next correction movement this value or a fraction thereof set by voltage dividers 38, 39 is algebraically added to the detected error signal to provide the signal which is reduced to zero by the shifting apparatus. The subsequent track return signal value is stored for use in the next correction movement.
