Abstract
1306252 Pressurized dispensers SOC FINANCIERE POUR LA RECHERCHE ET L'INDUSTRIE 3 Feb 1970 [3 Feb 1969] 5175/70 Heading F1R A container for dispensing liquid or pastey substances contains a hollow loose cylindrical or prismatic element or cup of the same crosssectional shape as the container and a pocket in the form of a rolling diaphragm, sealingly connected to the container, with a rigid base which slidably fits into the ring or cup, the diaphragm being folded over the rim of the ring or cup. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 8 a diaphragm 7 is crimped at one end to the top of a container 9, folds underneath a ring 8 and has at its other end a rigid base which slides in the ring 8. In use, the space between the base of the container and the base of the diaphragm 7 is pressurized, preferably by admitting pressure fluid through a valve (not shown) in the container base, so as to force the base of the diaphragm upwards. The non-folding part of the diaphragm near the top of the container 9 is preferably rigid. In other similar embodiments Figs.1-7, 9-14 (not shown) the diaphragm is crimped or glued to the base of or halfway up the container. In Fig.15 a diaphragm 44 is crimped to the base 41 of a container 40, folds over the top of a cup 50 and terminates in a rigid base 53. Pressure fluid is admitted through a valve (not shown) in the base 41 of the container 40 and forces the cup upwards. Ridges 61 and a sealing ring 58 on the cup 50 prevent pressure fluid reaching the space 55 between cup 50 and the base 53 of the diaphragm.
