Abstract

1,079,252. Pressurized dispensing containers. N. W. SEAQUIST. Sept.1, 1964 [Sept. 3, 1963], No.35738/64. Heading F1R. A cap for a pressurized aerosol dispensing container comprises a flexible diaphragm 12, having a thickened central portion force fitted to the container valve and an annular fold or folds. The diaphragm is housed with tubular walls which extend above and below to protect the diaphragm and position the cap on the container. The lower end of the tubular walls is provided with a shoulder (22), Fig.4' (not shown), which engages the container valve housing (20). A depending skirt (60) may completely enclose the upper portion of the container. The tubular walls are slotted above the diaphragm to provide access. A cup-shaped cap 50 may be sealed over the tubular walls. A flat cap (48), Fig.7 (not shown), may be mounted and sealed within the upper end of the tubular walls.
