Heading A3V Means for suspending a back pack 1 e.g. a knapsack sprayer on a wearer comprises a one-piece strap 10 passes around a pin 5 located at the centre of the upper portion of the pack 1 and through buckles 8, 9 located at both sides of the lower end of the pack thus providing shoulder loops 13, 14, the portions 11, 12 of the strap forming a waist encircling part which is secured by means of a clasp 16. A clasp 15 provides for adjustment of the length of the belt and a sliding clasp 17 provides adjustment of the length of strap between the upper portion of the pack 1 and the back of the wearer.
