1301165 Cylinder head cooling KLOCKNERHUMBOLDT-DEUTZ A G 29 Sept 1970 [8 Oct 1969] 46332/70 Heading F1B In a cylinder head 1 for an air cooled I. C. engine, a web 6 between valves 2 houses a hollow body 7, one end portion 9 of which extends adjacent a combustion chamber 10, the other end portion 11 being provided with cooling means exposed to cooling air and the hollow body being partly filled with liquid 8 which boils at the engine operating temperature. The hollow body may contain a pressure limiting value (not shown) and the cooling means may consist of cooling fins 13 and/or pipes 14. The liquid may be or may contain an anti-freeze. The two portions of body 7 may be welded, screwed or soldered together.
