Abstract

1300389 Gas filter STANSTED FILTRATION Ltd and A AKENHEAD 23 Feb 1970 [11 March 1969] 12789/69 Heading B1T A gas filter comprises one or more annular arrays of inward-flow, tubular fabric elements 4, cleaned sequentially by reverse-flow air directed into their open ends by rotating nozzle(s) 5, the solids falling on to the flat or disked floor 10 of the housing whence they are removed by rotary blades 11 which direct them into duct 13 leading to rotary discharge valve 14. Housing 1 has a tangential inlet 2 and an outlet 3. Fan 8 supplies the reverse-flow air to nozzle(s) 5. Motor 7 rotates the nozzle(s) 5 and blades 11. Blades 11 may be curved or straight, and duct 13 may be located off-centre of the housing floor.
