Abstract

1299550 Hinge with integral fastener-cover SWEDISH CRUCIBLE STEEL CO 18 Jan 1971 [2 Feb 1970] 2365/71 Heading E2F A plastics hinge leaf 12 has a cover e.g. 28, Fig. 3 integrally and flexibly connected thereto to conceal a pair of fastener holes, e.g. 20, in the leaf, and a detent on the leaf which is spaced from the connection and co-operable with a detent on the cover. The cover may be connected to the end of the leaf remote from a socket 18, Fig. 3; the end adjacent the socket; or a side of the leaf, Fig. 15. The detents may be: a tongue 30 and recess 22, Fig. 3, either disposed at the cover's centre or at an end thereof; a recess in the cover mating with either a raised part of the leaf or a rabbet on the leaf; a curved part of the cover engaging around a curved part of the leaf; or a rib 102, Fig. 15, engaging a rabbet 86 on the leaf.
