Abstract

1299396 Boots &c A NOVA O NOVA and R NOVA 26 March 1970 [1 April 1969] 15004/70 Heading A3B A wearing member such as a sole 15 or heel 16 which is secured to a lasted upper 13 by injection moulding a sole edge, has a rebate formed in the peripheral portion of the lower face thus forming a flange 21 or 31 and has apertures 32 formed in the flanges 21, 31, the injected material flowing into the rebate and apertures 32. The member 15 or 16 is located in the mould by projections 20 on the base plate 11 and is held in position by an intermediate sole 17 or heel block 18. The members 15, 16 may be of leather and the injected material may be synthetic plastics material or synthetic rubber.
