Abstract
1297562 Pipe connections; pipe stops YORKSHIRE IMPERIAL PLASTICS Ltd 19 April 1971 [12 Feb 1970 6856/70 Headings F2G and F2P [Also in Division E1 A connection pulse in underground pipe systems e.g. sewers and cable ducts includes a conical plastics moulded funnel 1 linked to a pipe 2 able to connect to at least one other pipe e.g. by sockets 4. The funnel 1 and pipe 2 may be integral as shown a separate structures joined by spigot (12) and socket (15) as in Fig. 7 (not shown). Further in Fig. 7 the socket (15) is on a branch (19) of a pipe (13) corresponding to the pipe 2 as shown. A pipe 5 Fig. 4, may connect with the funnel 1 by means of a flange 6 shaped to match the external surface of the funnel 1. The pipe 5 is offset, i.e. its centre line does not correspond with a diameter of the funnel 1. In Fig. 5 there is shown a pipe stop have a rod section 9 which fits within the bore of the pipe 2 and a contoured end 10, 11 which produces the internal surface of the funnel 1 to the bottom of the pipe 2. Thus such a pipe stop can be used to close one end of the pipe 2 in the assembly as shown in Fig. 1.
