1297282 Endless chain conveyers W KAMMANN [trading as WERNER KAMMANN] 9 Feb 1970 [10 Feb 1969] 6063/70 Heading B8A Conical or cylindrical articles 14 are transported by at least two conveyer chains 18 running adjacent to each other in parallel spaced relationship and holding the articles to be moved in prismatic shaped receiving spaces, the links of the chains, provided opposite to each other and in spaced series relationship, being constructed as upwardly projecting drivers 12 having two supporting or contact surfaces 16, 17, of different length, all the receivers with their conveyer chains being arranged to be pivotable from a horizontal plane for aligning the highest longitudinal edge of the cylindrical surfaces of the articles. By suitable grouping of the drivers a small object 14 may be located between opposed short surfaces 16, 16 of adjacent drivers A larger object (15) (Fig. 4, not shown) may be located between the opposed surfaces 17, 17. A conical object (Fig. 7, not shown) may be carried by arranging surfaces 16, 16 on one conveyer chain to be in alignment with surfaces 17, 17 on the other. In Fig. 10 there are three chains each having drivers 35. The centre chain is arranged with its drivers longitudinally disposed relative to those on the outer chains. Each article is thus located by 3 drivers 35 instead of 4 as previously. The chains may be moved axially relative to their drive sprocket shafts.
