Abstract

1295351 Roller mills GEB BUEHLER AG 11 March 1970 [12 March 1969] 11736/70 Heading B2A A roller mill comprises grinding rollers 2, 3 fed by a pneumatic duct 9 which has a curved portion 12, 13 serving to separate fed material from conveying air, which passes along a passage extending along the grinding rollers. Material is supplied along the length of the rollers from a distributor upstream of the arcuate portion. An inlet 21 or inlets permit entry of conveying air to the system over the width of the upper portion of mill housing. The distributor comprises a roller 5, an adjustable valve 6 and a hopper 4 extending along the full length of the rollers. Ground material is fed into a hopper 16 and is thence drawn up a. duct 18. The separated conveying air removes fines before they can reach the grinding rollers.
