Abstract

1294257 Selective printing NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO 6 July 1971 [16 July 1970] 31548/71 Heading B6F A label printer comprises a plurality of coaxial type wheels 28 settable by associated toothed wheels 66 biased for rotation about a shaft 62 by springs 134, rotation of the toothed wheels 66 being permitted by rotation of a bail 76 fixed to the shaft 62, and each toothed wheel being arrestable in a selected position by a respective pawl tooth 96 on a pawl 90a or 90b driven by a solenoid 59. The shaft 62 also carries an arm 113 supporting a pin 114 which urges an aligning bail 111 into co-operation with the type wheels 28 when all the type wheels have been set. The shaft 62 is oscillated by a cam (45, Fig. 1A) driven by a motor (41).
