1293378 Animal feeds J L STEPHENSON and J V GAVEN Jnr 14 Nov 1969 50489/69 Heading A2B An animal feed comprises an additive to improve acceptance of the feed to the animal, the additive comprising squalene and/or oleyl alcohol. The additive may comprise squalene (e.g. 28-30% by wt.), oleyl alcohol (e.g. 28-30% by wt.), oleic acid (e.g. 28-30% by wt.), and linoleic acid (e.g. 10-16% by wt.). The additive may be encapsulated in a watersoluble or frangible capsule. The additive may be present as a coating on the food particles. The additive may be in the form of an aerosol before admixture with the feed. The additive may be mixed with an antioxidant. The feed may comprise hominy feed, soybean meal, wheat, meat meal, bone meal, animal fat, iodised salt, fish meal, minerals, vitamins and colours. The feed may be fed to dogs, cats, pigs, cattle and sheep.
