Abstract

1293005 Typewriters; embossing machines &c ADDRESSOGRAPH MULTIGRAPH CORP 1 April 1970 [21 April 1969] 15523/70 Heading B6F An aligning device for character embossing discs comprises a toothed member 32a, 32b notched in accordance with characters on the embossing discs which is engaged by a double pawl rocker. One pawl 54a, is the alignment pawl, but if it is directly in line with the tip 32a entry into a space may be prevented. The second pawl 64 acts as a sensing pawl in such cases and gives sufficient movement to the notched disc so that continued movement of the rocker will easily effect alignment by the alignment pawl 54a.
