Abstract

1290783 Two-part couplings BUNKER-RAMO CORP 13 Jan 1970 [22 Jan 1969] 1533/70 Heading H2E In an electrical connector the outer casing of filters 58 contained on contacts 54 are earthed via spring clips 24 to a bulkhead 20 formed integrally with an aluminium casing 10. The spring clips 24 are prevented from moving by flanges 26 and a hard dielectric insert 28. After the contacts 54 are positioned in the casing 10 an insert 12 is screwed into the end of casing 10 and the end pieces 56 of a plastics insert 50 wedge the contacts in place, the end 44 of the shell 40 of insert 12 riding in groove 46 in plastics insert 50. Conductors 60 are connected to contacts 54 and resilient grommets 30, 62 are provided in the casing. A flange 14 is provided on casing 10 for securing it to some external member and a screw thread 16 is provided for connection to the other part of the connector.
