Abstract

1,125,143. Couplings. STOTZ-KONTAKT G.m.b.H. 29 Sept., 1965 [4 Dec., 1964], No. 41411/65. Heading H2E. A conductor 7 is fastened to a bus-bar 1 by means of a screw 2 engaging a U-shaped thrust member 3 and passing through a threaded hole 4 in the bus-bar. The screw passes through the lower limb of the thrust member to reduce its distortion, the end 8 of the screw being upset. Rotation is prevented by providing a cut-away portion, Fig. 4 (not shown). In an alternative embodiment, an L-shaped thrust member 3 engages a slot (9) in the bus-bar and a separate nut (12) may be employed, Figs. 5 to 8 (not shown).
