Abstract
1290706 Lampshades I BAGGETT 9 July 1970 [31 Oct 1969] 53386/69 Heading F4R A lampshade comprises two spaced end rings 10 and a skirt 11 secured to and extending between the rings, each ring having a peripheral rebate 12 in which the associated end of the skirt is received and a groove 15 in the radially facing surface of the rebate to engage a plurality of resilient flaps 17 formed on the skirt and projecting away from the adjacent end thereof. The side wall 16 of the groove extends in a radial plane or is undercut so that the skirt and rings, once assembled, cannot readily be separated. The flaps may be punched out of the material of the skirt or may be formed on a plastics strip secured to the ends of the skirt.
