Disk, wheel, and roller apparatus.-In a grinding-machine having a reciprocating work-table b, the grinding-wheel n is carried by a ram k mounted for vertical adjustment in a cross-girder f, which has a long bearing t slidable vertically on a cylindrical column c at one side of the worktable, and a slide-member u slidable on the cheek of a housing d, of the type used in planing- machines, at the other side of the work-table; the column and the housing are connected together at the top by a cross-member e. The cross-girder f is adapted to be secured in position, after adjustment, by nuts h, j, and cooling-liquid is supplied to the grinding-wheel through its hollow shaft o from a pipe s. The grinding-wheel may be mounted on an horizontal shaft.
