Abstract

1285102 Edge - runner mills PFEIFFER BARBAROSSAWERKE AG GEB 23 Sept 1970 [15 Nov 1969] 45324/70 Heading B2A [Also in Division H2] A mill comprises rollers 3 rotatable about stationary axles 4, and engaging under pressure, a horizontally-disposed bed 2 or vessel which is rotatable about a vertical axis by a drive, wherein one part of the outer periphery of the bed or vessel comprises a rotor 8 of an electric motor and is encompassed by a horizontally-disposed stator 9 supported in a housing 1 of the mill. As described, the bed 2 is mounted on a support 6 and the rotor winding 8 is carried at a peripheral parts 7 of the support. The support 6 with an interposed disc 10 and axle 11 is journalled in a radial bearing 12 which is mounted in a pedestal 13. An axial bearing 14 is provided between the disc 10 and pedestal 13. A nozzle ring 5 supplies carrier air.
