Abstract

1284995 Reciprocating pumps REGIE NATIONALES DES USINES RENAULT and AUTOMOBILES PEUGEOT 23 Jan 1970 [29 Jan 1969 20 March 1969] 3510/70 Heading F1A In a variable displacement swash-plate pump or motor the rotary cylinder block 1 abuts a valve plate 20 the ducts through which communicate with inlet and outlet ports 40, 41 in the housing through ducts 38, 39 in an intermediate member 33, the arrangement being such that communication is maintained for all angular positions of the block. The block may be pivoted past the zero displacement position to effect reversal of flow. In the maximum displacement position shown, Fig. 2, the intermediate member 33 is urged by spring 44 against a housing stop 45. As the cylinder block is pivoted through the zero displacement position a stop 46 on valve plate 20 contacts the intermediate member and moves it against the action of the spring thus ensuring maintenance of the flow paths. The pistons and ball-ended piston rods 10 have lubrication passages, the rods being held on swashplate 11 by retaining members 14, 15, 16. Figs.3- 6 (not shown).
