Abstract

1283775 Mixing apparatus W G HAMMOND 5 May 1970 [16 May 1969] 25072/69 Heading B1C [Also in Divisions Dl and E1] A method of treating a porous building element comprises drilling a hole (25) in the element, and injecting first atomised treatment liquid and then gas into the hole. The liquid is preferably a mixture of silicone and phenolic resin. During atomisation, gun 1 is supplied with gas from tank 3, and with liquid from metering cylinder 8 which is pressurised by connection by valve 9 to tank 3. Cylinder 8 is recharged by connection to liquid supply tank 2 by valve 9, while gas only is supplied to the gun.
