Abstract
1283443 Aircraft MESSERSCHMITTBOLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 4 Nov 1970 [7 Nov 1969] 52490/70 Headings B7G and B7W An aircraft is controlled by one or more swivelling jet propulsion nozzles 1, 2 and has control or trim surfaces 3, 4 mounted ahead of the wings and being arranged to be folded so that in their inwardly folded condition they fit into the outer contour of the aircraft fuselage. The surfaces are mounted in the vicinity of the aircraft cockpit are used for stabilization. They may be moved and set independently to any intermediate position between the retracted and spread positions, through ball joints and actuators and may be pivotable about the pitch axis of the aircraft.
